MUSSELBURGH - RESULTS

At last! The weather actually made the race look like a "summer" series race.
Nice warm night in Musselburgh for the penultimate race. And good to see so many other people out enjoying weather and getting into the "sporting vibe" the nation seems to be going through right now.
Nice to get cheered on by the lads of Musselburgh Windsor during the race, then the sight of a bloke on a Penny Farthing, cycling round the Grove must be one of the strangest manifestations of the Wiggo effect that any ones seen yet!!

Anyway. On to the results which can be found HERE.

Remember the last race in the series next week at John Muir country park. Followed by the traditional BBQ and prize giving!

CANCELLED

Please note that the leg on Wednesday 18th July has been cancelled.
Apologies for this.
Next race will be at Musselburgh on 7th August (meet same place as previous years - the old Paper Mill at the Esk).

To ensure that no one gets "caught out", by not managing 4 races, final results will now be the best 3 out of 5.

Many thanks to George for setting out the course.

See you at the next race (keep an eye on this site for more details soon).

RACE 2 RESULTS.

Race two took in the "undulating" roads in and around Spott and Little Spott, just outside Dunbar.
Conditions were, perhaps, a little warm for some peoples liking, but some good times were posted.

Full results for race two are HERE.

More of Anne's photos are HERE.

RACE 1 - RESULTS

Not a bad turn out for the first race.
A nice flat course - though with a few twists and turns, and mud added to make it "interesting". Thanks to HELP for laying on the race.
Most people seem to prefer the "straight race" format rather than the handicap, but please feel free to let us know what you think.

The results for the first leg are posted HERE.

As well as category prizes at the end of the series, we also plan to keep track of everyone's mile pace for each leg they complete and might decide that constant improvement merits reward as well.
Watch this space.

The next leg is at Dunbar on Tuesday 19th June. We will post a map, showing the location of the start soon. There will be showering and changing available at Hallhill Healthy Living Centre.

PS... Can "Gary" or someone who knows him let us have his details (appears to have missed registration).

2012 Races

OK. We're back.
Please note the dates above. An entry form will appear here later. But don't worry you can enter on the night.
This year the cost will be £5 for all six races OR £1 per race.

Please note that this year the races are NOT handicap races. It's a mass start and first over the line! Though there will be category prizes and perhaps another prize or two thrown in for good measure.

As in previous years, while you will get a nice warm glow if you win a particular race, overall prizes will be based on best 4 race results.
